A budding photographer?

Featured

For my daughter’s 3rd birthday, we bought her a camera. It might be a bit of a gimmick as it is one specially designed for young children, but with the obvious buttons, easy grip and light weight, I chose it anyway. Within a week, Isabella was out taking photos of the natural world. I started off setting her challenges, such as to take a photo of a tree, but she has taken it further than that. When I noticed a pale tussock moth caterpillar, I asked her to help me identify it. She really seemed to enjoy searching through my books and she did find it. Then, when we were about to go for a walk with her camera, she bent down to see the caterpillar and started taking photos of it. She has since asked me to print out one of her pictures to put into her album. The quality obviously isn’t great, but you never know, this might build into a serious hobby. Hmmm, maybe I should have thought about introducing her to a less expensive pastime!
